Contest Rules

1.     The deadline for contest entries is October 30, 2007 at 5:00 PM MDT. All entries become the property of North American Potato Market News, Inc.

2.     Participants must enter a guess for both US fall production and Canadian production. If more than one entry is received from the same person, only the last one received will count.

3.     Two prizes will be awarded, one for US production, and one for Canadian production. The length of the subscription will depend upon the number of entries. If fewer than 10 entries are received, NAPMN reserves the right to cancel the contest. If 10-14 entries are received, prizes will be three-month subscriptions. If 15-19 entries are received, prizes will be six-month subscriptions. If 20 or more entries come in, prizes will be one-year subscriptions.

4.     Only one prize per person. If one contestant has the closest guess for both US. and Canadian production, the next closest estimate of Canadian production will be awarded the second subscription.

5.     Entries will be judged relative to production reports issued by USDA on November 9, and by Statistics Canada on November 23. Contest winners will be announced in our November 13 and November 28 newsletters.

6.     In case of a tie, the first entry received has priority.

7.     Entrants agree to have their names and estimates published.
